Rocky Balboa

Robert Balboa, billed in the ring as the Italian Stallion, is the boxer Sylvester Stallone created and has played across the Rocky films since 1976. He starts out in Kensington, Philadelphia, as a club fighter who collects for a loan shark to pay the rent.

• An unknown gets the call. The heavyweight champion, Apollo Creed, picks a local fighter for a title bout when his chosen opponent drops out. Rocky trains with Mickey Goldmill, the owner of the gym that keeps clearing out his locker.
• The robe does the talking. His ring identity sits on his back: a yellow hooded robe with ITALIAN STALLION across it, worn over striped socks and boxing boots.
• Four films, four sculpts. The figures come from separate films rather than one master body — the 1976 debut, the 1979 rematch, the third film's rebuild and the fourth film's fight in the Soviet Union.
• Ring kit or training kit. Rocky II, III and IV each get a Boxer Version dressed for the ring, while the first film's figure carries the training gear: towel, tank top, gloves and headgear.
