Ranko Kanzaki

Ranko Kanzaki is a fourteen-year-old idol at 346 Production in THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS, the silver-haired girl in gothic lolita dress who speaks almost entirely in fantasy terms.

What makes Ranko Kanzaki stand out

• Everything gets decorated. Her dialogue is wrapped in invented fantasy phrasing, so even a plain hello or an offer of thanks arrives as an incantation.
• The content is ordinary. Under the costume she says earnest, age-appropriate things; the gap between the wording and the meaning is the whole joke.
• Election record. She placed second in the first Cinderella Girl election and first in the second, and in the anime she makes her solo debut as Rosenburg Engel.
