The PTX-003C Alteisen is the Personal Trooper of Super Robot Wars OG, developed under the ATX Project at the Federation's Langley Base and assigned to Kyousuke Nanbu. Its name is German for old iron, and it was meant to be called the Gespenst Mk-III.
What it does in the story
Dr. Marion Radom designed it as her candidate for the next mass-production PT: close-in, heavily armoured, built to break a line in one charge and pull out. It carried no extra-over technology, cost too much to build in numbers and was too awkward for an average pilot, so the unit went to the one pilot who could hold it. Its partner machine, the flight-capable Weissritter, covers the ranges it cannot.
What makes it different
-
Everything is fixed to the frame.
Four shoulder Square Claymores, a Revolving Stake in the right arm that fires from a rotating cylinder, and a triple machine cannon in the left. Solid rounds and hardened steel only.
-
Armour bought with thrust.
It is over-armoured and beam-coated, then loaded with oversized thrusters, afterburners and a supercharger to push the weight along.
-
Useless at zero range.
It needs room to accelerate before the hit, leaving it open to machines built for grappling.
How big is it?
- Airframe: 22.2 m tall, 85.4 t.
What this collection covers
Three very different objects. Bandai's HG kit is snap-fit, with a stake cylinder that swings out for maintenance and shoulder armour that opens over the Claymore hatches. Flame Toys' Kuro Kara Kuri figure stands about 21 cm, with die-cast joints and a cylinder that opens to lift cartridges out. CCS Toys' Mortal Mind figure is 25 cm to the head and 28 cm overall, with opening Claymores and firing effects.

Frequently asked questions
1. Which game is the Alteisen from?
Super Robot Wars OG, where it carries the PTX-003C designation.
2. Why is it called Alteisen?
Old iron in German. It was a prototype codename that stuck after the Gespenst Mk-III name never came with a production order.
3. Are all three releases model kits?
No. The HG is a kit; the other two are finished action figures.
