OZX-GU01A Gundam Geminass 01 is one of two mobile suits built in secret at the asteroid factory MO-V in the manga New Mobile Report Gundam Wing Dual Story: G-Unit (A.C. 195). Dr. Berg designed it, Hermann Industry assembled it, and MO-V hands it to rookie pilot Odin Bernett.
What it does in the story
The Geminass is built far from the fighting between OZ and the five Operation Meteor Gundams, and Odin cannot use its PX System at first. The suit is later rebuilt as the Gundam L.O. Booster and ends up with the former OZ Prize pilot Roche Nattono.
What makes it different
Its limbs unlock instead of bolting on.
The linear-lock bolt is an electromagnetically driven equipment switch: arms, legs and head change quickly, so one frame takes Space, High Mobility, Flight or Underwater units.
The PX System spends the pilot.
The Pilots Experience System answers sharpened senses by pushing output to its ceiling, lifting reaction speed and mobility together. A limiter is fitted because the strain is severe.
The rifle fires muons, not a simple beam.
The Accelerate Rifle came out of an OZ quantum physics laboratory, using a spiral particle accelerator to send high-speed muons at the target. An internal condenser builds one shot into a charged hyper shot.
The shield carries the rifle.
The G-UNIT Shield is Gundanium in a honeycomb structure with an electromagnetic field generator, so it turns shells and beams alike, and the rifle can be mounted inside it.
How big is it?
Overall height: 17.3 m
1/144: roughly 12 cm

Frequently asked questions
1. Is the Geminass 01 related to the Wing Gundams?
Only by appearance. It uses Gundanium Alloy and reads like the five Operation Meteor machines, but the sources state the two are not directly connected. Odin gave it the Gundam name once he learned what Gundams meant to the colony pilots.
2. Why does its model number begin with OZ?
It did not at first. The number started with X alone, and the OZ prefix was added once MO-V aligned itself with OZ, so the model number records which side the factory had joined.
3. Where does the name Geminass come from?
OZ names its machines after constellations, and Gemini is the third sign of the zodiac, a pair of twins. The two identical G-UNIT suits are the twins, and the Geminass is the only constellation-named machine counted as a Gundam.
