Nobunaga Gundam Epyon is the warlord of the Musha World in SD Gundam World Heroes (2021), the online series that sets Journey to the West and Sengoku Japan side by side. The character is the Gundam Epyon recast as Oda Nobunaga, and he means to unify every world, not only his own. Bandai's kit is SDW HEROES No.02, with a Dark Mask version as No.13.
What it does in the story
He is the power his world is organised against, and he takes an interest in Cao Cao Wing Gundam when the traveller arrives, seeing a recruit worth having. With unification in reach, Mitsuhide turns on him; cornered, he takes a Dark Mask rather than accept defeat, and the strength it gives him is no longer entirely his own.
What makes it different
-
His sword is a named blade with a smith's story behind it.
He carries the Heshikiri-Hasebe, forged by Magohachi, a renowned swordsmith on the volcanic island of Engoku. Nobunaga's invasion burns the island, Magohachi survives in a hidden cellar, and he later agrees to forge for Cao Cao.
-
His finisher is built on that one sword.
Zetto Hishakuryusen works through the Heshikiri-Hasebe, cutting across an extreme range and burning what it passes through. It is his appetite for possession taking physical form.
-
The mask is what changes the machine.
The Dark Mask version is Nobunaga after he sets aside his pride as a samurai for the power the mask offers. His body is reshaped by it; Bandai lists the kit as a colour variant.

Frequently asked questions
1. Is this the same suit as the Epyon from Gundam Wing?
It is a recast, not the same machine. The design takes the Gundam Epyon as its base and dresses it as Oda Nobunaga, with a forged katana as its weapon.
2. What does the Dark Mask version add?
The same kit in the colours of Nobunaga after the mask has changed him. Bandai lists it as a colour variant, so the parts are the same.
3. Who forged the Heshikiri-Hasebe?
Magohachi, a swordsmith who works on the island of Engoku. The Heshikiri-Hasebe is the blade his finishing move is built on.
