MSM-04G Juaggu

MSM-04G Juaggu is a Zeon amphibious mobile suit drawn up for the assault on the Federation's underground headquarters at Jaburo, created by Kunio Okawara for the Mobile Suit Variations series and first animated in Gundam Unicorn (U.C. 0096). It is built on the Acguy.

What it does in the story

Zeon engineers at California Base designed the Juaggu for the push into Jaburo along the Amazon, and the few machines built never went: Char Aznable found a way in and attacked far earlier than planned. The type finally fought at Dakar in U.C. 0096.

What makes it different

• The head is built around a heat duct. The elliptical head carries a movable exhaust heat duct shaped like an elephant's trunk, the feature the whole machine is drawn around. The rest of the silhouette follows the Acguy's rounded form.
• The beam guns are in the body, not the hands. Four mega particle cannons sit in the torso and are fed straight off the reactor, which leaves both arms free for rocket launchers. The machine puts heavy fire past the suits doing the close work.
• The launchers come off when a job needs hands. Each arm mounts a three-tube 320mm rocket launcher, and either one swaps for a five-finger manipulator for delicate work or a melee weapon. A pilot can also use the launchers as clubs.
• It is armoured for a bunker assault. Heavy armour is there to survive ballistic fire during the attack on Jaburo, and the suit swims on propulsion units in its backpack and feet. The cost shows in 0.49 G and 55 knots.

How big is it?

• Head height: 17.4 m according to Bandai's official spec, with an empty weight of 137.3 t and a full weight of 198.7 t
• 1/144: roughly 12.1 cm, which covers the original kit and both HGUC versions
