METEOR — Mobile suit Embedded Tactical Enforcer — is not a mobile suit. It is a support module ZAFT built for the Justice and Freedom Gundams in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (C.E. 71). It is unmanned: a mobile suit docks to its back to fire, and between sorties it rides the warship Eternal as a movable gun turret.

What it does in the story

METEORs 01 and 02 go into action with the Eternal in the First Alliance-PLANT War, one on the Freedom and one on the Justice. The Freedom's is destroyed by the Providence Gundam; the Justice's penetrates Jachin Due and is left behind.

What makes it different

• Its main guns are warship calibre. A 120 cm high-energy beam cannon sits in the tip of each movable arm; the pair on the sides is 93.7 cm, trading power for rate of fire.
• The beam swords are as long as the arms. The two MA-X200 swords are emitted from the arm units, each generated by the emitters above and below the 120 cm cannon. They will cut through a warship.
• Seventy-seven missiles sit in three places. The 60 cm Erinaceus launchers hold 22 in each side pod, 12 in the back of each arm and 9 on the tail fin, and all of them can be fired at once.
• It draws its power from the Gundam. The engines come from the GINN High Maneuver Type. The module carries a battery but runs off the suit's reactor when docked; units 05 and 06 were later rebuilt with nuclear reactors and N-Jammer Cancellers.
