Lala Barina

Lala Barina is a Temnoceran introduced in Monster Hunter Wilds, titled the Thorny Flower Spider. Six spiked legs, a body under soft hair, and a retractable stinger at the back.

What it does in the story

It spins scarlet silk and builds nests with it in the Scarlet Forest; florets of silk around a nest mark that one is near. It moves in short bursts and pauses between them.

What makes it different

• The rose. Agitated, a section of the abdomen opens into red hairs shaped like a rose bloom, and those hairs are flung as paralysing florets.
• A spider, not an insect. Temnoceran: eight eyes in clusters, chelicerae, and a pair of front legs folded away until it needs hands.
• Paralysis, not poison. Fire is the weakness. Silk and hairs carry a neuroplegic agent that locks a hunter in place.

How big is it?

• Crown sizes: 621.88 cm to 866.44 cm.

What this collection covers

A MonDefo chibi plush about 17 cm high, and a Palico plush wearing the Lala Barina armour, 22.5 cm tall.
