Kuroko Shirai

Kuroko Shirai is a Level 4 esper at Tokiwadai Middle School and a member of Judgment in A Certain Scientific Railgun, the spin-off of Kazuma Kamachi's A Certain Magical Index that began in 2007. She is Mikoto Misaka's roommate and partner on patrol.

What makes Kuroko Shirai stand out

• Teleport, with limits. She moves herself and whatever she carries in an instant, up to 130.7 kg and 81.5 m from her body. Before Tokiwadai she could move objects and other people, but not herself.
• Spikes on the thigh. Two straps on her thighs hold the metal spikes she uses to pin a suspect in place.
• 152 cm, two tails. She has tawny hair in wavy twin tails tied with red bows, and wears the Tokiwadai uniform with the Judgment armband on duty.
