Kira Yamato

Kira Yamato is the protagonist of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, the 2002 series set in the Cosmic Era. A first-generation Coordinator on the neutral colony Heliopolis, he is pulled into the war between Coordinators and Naturals and ends up piloting the Earth Alliance's Strike.

What makes Kira Yamato stand out

• The Ultimate Coordinator. His fetus was developed outside his mother's womb, engineered to surpass every other Coordinator, and he was the only survivor. His twin sister is Cagalli Yula Athha.
• A technician who fights. Before the war he is a student and a strong programmer assisting research at Heliopolis technical college, not a trained soldier.
• Strike, Freedom, Strike Freedom. He starts in the GAT-X105 Strike, receives the ZGMF-X10A Freedom from Lacus Clyne, then flies the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom; in SEED Freedom the Rising Freedom and Mighty Strike Freedom.
• Pacifist by instinct. Piloting Freedom, he avoids cockpit hits to keep casualties down while fighting both sides.

What this collection covers

Tamashii Nations supplies most of it: figures in Orb Union and COMPASS pilot suits plus a Figuarts mini. MegaHouse adds a Lucrea Lite pilot-suit figure and a Lookup, alone or paired with Athrun Zala, and the Mega Cat Project turns him into a cat, singly and in a set with Athrun and Lacus.
