Jet Jaguar

Jet Jaguar is Toho's size-changing android from Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973), first drawn as “Red Alone” for a children's design contest.

What it does in the story

The inventor Goro Ibuki builds him; Seatopia steals him to guide Megalon to Tokyo, and Ibuki retakes control and sends him after Godzilla. The 2021 anime Singular Point has a different machine, built by the Otaki Factory and piloted by Yun Arikawa.

What makes it different

  • Human size or giant. He changes scale at will, from handshake height to fifty metres.
  • Two origins. A laboratory one-off in 1973; a workshop build in the anime, later given wheels and a helipack.
  • Eyes as lamps. Spotlights in the head work as searchlights or blind an opponent.

How big is it?

  • Normal: 1.8 m tall, 150 kg.
  • Giant: 50 m tall, 25,000 tonnes.

What this collection covers

The S.H.MonsterArts 1973 figure marks the fiftieth anniversary, with flight antennas and a human-sized minifigure. The Singular Point machine has its own release, a Good Smile action plushie and a console sticker set.
