Ichigo Kurosaki

Ichigo Kurosaki is the protagonist of Tite Kubo's Bleach, which began in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 2001. A Karakura Town student who can see ghosts, he takes on Rukia Kuchiki's Soul Reaper duties after she is wounded protecting his family and fights Hollows with a sword called Zangetsu.

What makes Ichigo Kurosaki stand out

• The orange hair was a decision. Kubo designed Rukia first and built Ichigo to contrast with her, giving him orange hair and a scowl; the colour is the first thing a paint job has to get right.
• Zangetsu changes shape. The sword goes from Shikai to the Bankai Tensa Zangetsu, a thinner black blade, and in the final arc to the dual Zangetsu, so figures split by which version they carry.
• One entry is a replica. The Proplica Tensa Zangetsu comes from Tamashii Nations' role-play line: a sword for display or costume work, not a sculpted character.
• Most of the page follows the final arc. Several releases are labelled Thousand-Year Blood War, the adaptation of the manga's last arc, so those designs come from that arc rather than the 2004 series.
