Hajime Iwaizumi

Hajime Iwaizumi is the ace and vice-captain of the Aoba Johsai boys' volleyball team in Haruichi Furudate's Haikyu!!. He plays outside hitter in the number four jersey and is Tōru Oikawa's childhood friend, from their Kitagawa Daiichi junior high days.

What makes Hajime Iwaizumi stand out

  • He takes the swings that keep a rally alive. Aoba Johsai's attack runs through Oikawa's sets, and Iwaizumi is the spiker asked to convert the awkward ones: sharp cross-court angles, blocked balls chased down, the points that never make a highlight.
  • He is the brake on the setter. Iwaizumi calls out Oikawa's childish streaks and steps in when his friend overworks himself or loses confidence. His argument to him is that a player who cannot see the opponent in front of him cannot beat the one beyond.
  • The permanent scowl. Spiked hair, a permanent scowl, a uniform worn loose with the tie down and the shirt untucked.

What this collection covers

The collection runs smaller formats: two MegaHouse Lookup figures, one of them a uniform version, a Nendoroid, a FuRyu figure, and two Bushiroad Creative soft toys, a Puchish! mascot and a Pingurumi plush.
