AGE-1G Gundam AGE-1 Full Glansa

AGE-1G Gundam AGE-1 Full Glansa is Flit Asuno's machine in the Three Generation arc of Mobile Suit Gundam AGE (2011, A.G. 164). It is the AGE-1 Glansa with the Glastron Launcher on its back; the Glansa itself was the rebuild of his damaged AGE-1 Flat.

What it does in the story

Flit first flies the Glansa at Luna Base, backing Kio's AGE-FX and Asemu's Dark Hound against Fram Nara, Zeheart Galette and Girard Spriggan, and he shoots through the Thieleva's chest. At La Gramis the suit goes out with the launcher fitted, in the front line of the assault.

What makes it different

  • The forearm shields shoot. Each Shield Rifle fuses a shield with a DODS Rifle: an emitter between the two pointed ends fires beam shots, or throws a large beam saber for close work.
  • The missile launchers come with the armour. Six launchers are built into the added pieces rather than packed separately, two on each added shoulder section and one in the front of each added leg section.
  • The backpack launcher is a mobility unit as well. The Glastron Launcher grew out of the Zefuld Launcher and pairs a high-mobility unit with two beam launchers on the pattern of the AGE-3's SigMaxiss Rifle. Fitting it is the whole difference between Glansa and Full Glansa.

1. Is the Full Glansa a different suit from the Glansa?

No. The Glansa is the rebuilt AGE-1 Flat; Full Glansa is that same suit with the Glastron Launcher fitted. Bandai also sold an expansion parts set for the Master Grade kit.

2. Can the add-on armour come off?

Yes. The extra armour and the launcher can both be purged, which leaves the beam saber/daggers in the side skirts as the last close-range option.

3. Why was the AGE-1 Flat rebuilt?

Zeheart's Ghirarga and Zanald's Xamdrag left it badly damaged, so armour and new weapons were added to hold its performance level against newer machines.
