MD-0032G Guel's Dilanza

MD-0032G Guel's Dilanza is Guel Jeturk's personal machine in Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury (2022, Ad Stella). Jeturk Heavy Machinery finished one of its MD-0031 Dilanzas for the heir to the company, and he flies it in the duels at Asticassia.

What it does in the story

Guel opens the series with it against Suletta Mercury's Gundam Aerial and loses to the Aerial's remote weapons. The Dilanza returns later, repaired, with the headpiece off and the school's limiters removed, for real combat and later against Lauda Neill's Gundam Schwarzette.

What makes it different

• The shoulder shields are weapons too. A spike shield sits on each shoulder and is exclusive to this unit. The spike lets the shield be driven into a target as well as used as cover.
• The main melee weapon lives inside the shield. The beam torch docks in the shield when not in use and throws a broad blade when deployed, which suits a machine rated for close-quarters ground fighting.
• The chest guns break up an attack rather than kill. Two beam vulcans are fixed in the chest: low power, high rate of fire, and used in duels to distract.

How big is it?

• Head height: 18.2 m according to Bandai's official spec
• 1/144: roughly 12.6 cm
