GF13-006NA Gundam Maxter is Neo America's Mobile Fighter for the 13th Gundam Fight in Mobile Fighter G Gundam (1994–1995, Future Century 60). It is built for Chibodee Crocket, a colony boxer, and its frame runs through the Mobile Trace System so that his punches become the machine's punches.
What it does in the story
Chibodee opens his tournament by flattening Neo Iraq's Scud Gundam in a single blow, then loses to Domon Kasshu's Shining Gundam in Brooklyn, where the Shining Finger tears off the Maxter's right arm. Master Asia infects him with DG cells in Shinjuku, and once the Shuffle Alliance frees him the Maxter goes into the finals, ending its run in the battle royale on Lantau Island.
What makes it different
-
The chest armour comes off to make it faster.
Boxer Mode purges the front chest plate, exposing a muscle-moulded inner frame, and moves the shoulder armour onto the fists as gloves. Defensive strength drops while hooking speed and punching power rise, since the gloves carry their own thrusters, and that trade is what the whole design is arranged around.
-
Its search and adaptability are the weak point.
Neo America weighted the machine towards hitting power, and the design notes say the sensor suite and adaptability suffer for it. Boxer Mode exists partly to cover that gap with heavier arm armour rather than to add a new trick.
-
The sidearm is a pair of revolvers.
Two Gigantic Magnums sit on the hips and fire solid rounds rather than beams. In the Grand Gundam fight Chibodee runs them dry and fires a Rose Bit borrowed from Gundam Rose as the last round.
-
The shield is also the transport.
A rocket-powered board doubles as the suit's shield, and Chibodee rides it over water or through the air. That is usually how the Maxter arrives at a match, so the defensive item is also the entrance.
How big is it?
- Overall height: 16.3 m at 16.8 t, on the published spec sheet
- 1/144: roughly 11 cm
- 1/100: roughly 16 cm

Frequently asked questions
1. Why does a boxing machine carry guns?
Because Chibodee still needs an answer to an opponent who refuses to close the distance. The two hip-mounted Gigantic Magnums cover that gap, and their rounds are solid rather than beam.
2. What gets purged in Boxer Mode?
The front chest armour, which is the change in the animation. On the 2023 HGFC kit the front skirts, knee armour and ankle guards can also be purged, an addition the kit's designers made to open up the leg articulation.
3. Which Maxter is the one with DG cells?
The one Master Asia infects in Shinjuku. The television series shows no visible change, but the Super-Class! Mobile Fighter G Gundam material redesigns it with Death Army parts, more punching power, and no use of the magnums or Boxer Mode.
4. What Maxter kits were released?
1/144 and 1/100 kits from 1994, an SD BB Senshi release the same year, a 1/144 Hyper Mode version in 1995, and a 1/144 HGFC issued as a P-Bandai exclusive in 2023.
