Doom Slayer

The Doom Slayer, also called Doomguy, is the protagonist of id Software's DOOM series. He arrived in the 1993 game as a demon-hunting space marine in green armour who almost never speaks, and the 2016 game gave him the Slayer name.

What makes Doom Slayer stand out

• He does not talk. The marine went unnamed in 1993 so the player could be him, and the silence stuck. In DOOM (2016) his motives come through action: he smashes a monitor mid-briefing, fist-bumps a small figurine, and keeps a friendly AI rather than deleting it.
• Green armour, shotgun in hand. The 1993 box art puts a shotgun in his hands, and the green armour with a visored helmet that hides his face has barely changed since.
• Immortal, and furnished for it. DOOM Eternal presents him as immortal, needing no food, sleep or water, and gives him a Fortress of Doom filled with comics, figures and guitars.

What this collection covers

The page splits between action figures and one very large statue. Good Smile's figma covers the classic Slayer and a re-release plus two The Dark Ages versions, standard and DX; POP UP PARADE SP adds a Doom Marine; Prime 1 Studio's Masterline statue comes as a standard release, a Deluxe and a DX Bonus version.
