bEXM-29 Gardonova

The bEXM-29 Gardonova is Kanetake Ebikawa's assault frame for the Byron Forces in 30 Minutes Missions: a 1/144 ExAMACS built to go into a defended position rather than hold one.

What it does in the story

The Gardonova belongs to the part of the 30MM setting where the war stops being a meeting engagement. Byron needs machines that break into a base.

What makes it different

  • Sideways, not forwards. Shoulder verniers push the machine laterally, so it slips around cover instead of charging.
  • Legs for jumping. The large legs are for jump manoeuvres, and the line describes the result as agile for a machine this armoured.
  • Drum-fed guns and claws. Submachine guns on drum magazines cover the middle distances, and the large claws handle whatever gets close.

How big is it?

  • Scale: 1/144, and the legs dominate its silhouette.

What this collection covers

Green and brown, both 1/144 kits with the drum-magazine submachine guns and claws; Revernova parts fit either.

Frequently asked questions

1. What is the Gardonova for?

Attacking enemy bases: lateral movement, jump manoeuvres and close-range firepower rather than a defensive line.

2. How does it differ from the Revernova?

The Revernova is the armoured rifle unit; this one trades that for mobility and claws. Their parts cross-fit.
