Beelzebub is the demon prince of Sand Land, Akira Toriyama's manga, serialised in Weekly Shōnen Jump across four months in 2000 and collected as a single volume. He is the son of Lucifer and joins Sheriff Rao and the demon Thief on a search for water.
What makes Beelzebub stand out
The title is a job description.
Fellow demons call him Prince and Rao shortens it to Beelz. He is heir to the demon world, not a villain inside it: the story's tyrant is the human king.
Demonic strength, borrowed light.
He lends Rao his enhanced sight and demonic strength, and can absorb the power of darkness by standing in moonlight for a temporary boost.
He steals, but only enough.
The demons take water from the humans, and Beelzebub keeps the theft to what his community needs to survive.
He joins out of boredom.
Rao's expedition starts as entertainment for him; the alliance that follows is the story's engine rather than his idea.
What this collection covers
Two of the five releases are Beelzebub himself, a S.H.Figuarts figure and BellFine's SoftB Half figure. The other three are the Royal Army's Tank Corps No. 104 that Rao's group steals: a Soul of Chogokin die-cast tank, a MegaHouse DESKTOP REAL McCOY EX version, and a 1/35 Bandai Hobby kit.
