Akaza is Upper Rank Three of the Twelve Kizuki in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Koyoharu Gotouge's manga. He fights bare-handed, and his rank puts him in the upper half of Muzan Kibutsuji's demons.
What makes Akaza stand out
-
Destructive Death.
His Blood Demon Art is shockwaves, fused with the Soryu Style martial art he learned as a human. He throws them from a fist or a heel at any range, so a fistfight becomes a ranged attack.
-
Compass Needle.
He reads an opponent's fighting spirit, which lets him find weak points and adjust mid-fight. It is why he can fight swordsmen who outrange him and still dictate the distance.
-
He breaks swords instead of carrying one.
His Bell Splitter technique snaps a katana as it comes down, stripping an armed opponent of the advantage. The fighting-pose figures are posed empty-handed.
-
He recruits rather than simply kills.
He despises weakness and offers demonhood to fighters he rates, the offer he makes to Kyojuro Rengoku on the Mugen Train. It reads as respect, not mercy.
