All-new P-75A Eagle model kit, a first-of-its-kind offering that renders the iconic aircraft in injected kit form. Designed to meet the US Army's 1942 requirement for a cutting-edge interceptor, the P-75A Eagle boasts an innovative design powered by twin Alison V-12 engines. These engines are uniquely connected to a common gearbox and strategically placed in the fuselage's center for optimal performance.
The P-75A represents the planned production version, featuring a completely new airframe that sets it apart from the earlier XP-75 prototypes. This model is equipped with an impressive arsenal of ten.50 caliber machine guns, with three located in each wing and four more surrounding the nose, all designed to fire through the aircraft's contrarotating propeller.
Despite its promising design, the Army ultimately decided against adopting the P-75A, resulting in only a handful of prototypes and five production models ever being built. This model kit pays homage to this rare aircraft, offering markings for s/n 444550 and including high-quality resin and photo-etched detail parts to ensure an authentic and detailed build.
