Discover the ZTQ15 Light Tank Model Kit, a designed representation of the light tank developed by the People's Republic of China. Weighing between 33 to 36 tons, the ZTQ15 was engineered as a versatile solution to the limitations faced by 50-ton class main battle tanks in China's diverse terrains. From the water town areas of southern China to the challenging plateaus and mountainous regions of Tibet, this light tank has been crafted to excel where its predecessors could not. Its primary roles include infantry support and reconnaissance missions, boasting a powerful 105mm rifle as its main armament. This gun represents a significant advancement over the 105mm 81 type rifle used in 59-II type tanks, itself a licensed production of the Royal Ordnance 105mm tank gun L7.
The ZTQ15 is not only formidable in firepower but also in defense, with turret front armor comparable to that of third-generation main battle tanks. It is manned by a three-person crew consisting of a commander, a gunner, and a driver, ensuring efficient operation. The tank is well-prepared for various combat scenarios with an unmanned gun mount (RWS) featuring a 12.7mm heavy machine gun, an automatic grenade launcher, and a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun as secondary weapons.
Comfort and safety in extreme conditions are guaranteed with a NBC defense system, air conditioning, and oxygen cylinders for high-altitude operations. Powered by a 1,000-horsepower diesel engine equipped with a twin turbo, it achieves a maximum speed of 70km/h, ensuring swift movement across battlefields.
