Discover the iconic British Grant, a remarkable rendition of the American-made M3 medium tank, now available on P-Rex Hobby. Following the significant loss of tanks at the Battle of Dunkirk in 1940, the British Army collaborated with the U.S. to produce a modified version of the M3 medium tank, tailored to British specifications. This modified version, equipped with a distinctive large turret featuring a rear overhang and an integrated on-board radio, was aptly named "General Grant" or simply "Grant" in honor of General Ulysses S. Grant, the esteemed commander-in-chief of the Union Army during the Civil War. Despite its small, medium-sized stature, similar to the M3 medium tank, the Grant faced certain challenges, including its heightened structure that increased visibility to enemies and a limited firing range with its 75mm cannon. Nevertheless, it played a crucial role in anti-tank warfare until the German army's retreat from North Africa in May 1943.
