The Fiat CR.42 Falco, also known as the 'Falcon', was a single-seat biplane fighter that served as the main Regia Aeronautica fighter in the early stages of World War II. Developed by the Fiat design office under Celestino Rosatelli, this aircraft was produced from 1939 to 1944 in Turin, with a total of 1782 units built.
The Fiat CR.42 LW was the ground attack version used by the German Luftwaffe, featuring bomb armament and flame arresters.
