Discover the majestic Koenig-class battleships, the pride of the Kaiser German Navy during WWI. This iconic fleet, consisting of the Koenig, Grosser Kurfuerst, Markgraf, and Konprinz, was commissioned between 1914-1915 and played a pivotal role in naval battles against the British Grand Fleet. Notably, during the Battle of Jutland on May 31, 1916, they were part of the Third Squadron of the German Fleet, inflicting significant damage on British ships. In 1917, they also took part in operations against the Russian Navy in Moonsund. Following the armistice, these historic vessels were interned at Scapa Flow, where their crews scuttled them on June 21, 1919.
