Experience the charm of classic Japanese railroading with the PLUM PMOA Private Railway Freight Car [Tom Type] (2 cars) plastic kit. This meticulously crafted 1/80 scale model faithfully reproduces the iconic 15-ton capacity open-top freight cars, known as "Tom" types, that were a common sight on railways across Japan.
Designed with both beginners and seasoned enthusiasts in mind, this kit offers straightforward assembly with a minimal number of parts. The color-molded plastic components ensure an enjoyable building process, making it an ideal entry point for those new to HO (16番) gauge modeling.
These freight cars feature realistic plastic wheels with an authentic rolling mechanism, allowing for immediate HO gauge operation. For enhanced realism and performance, the kit also supports the installation of commercially available metal wheels. You have the option to choose between spoke wheels and plate wheels to customize your models.
Connecting your rolling stock is a breeze with the included knuckle-type couplers, which incorporate a swing mechanism for smooth coupling. A general-purpose coupler pocket is also equipped, providing compatibility with various aftermarket couplers, such as KD couplers.
