[The Kiyokawa Maru, originally a merchant vessel for the Kawasaki Kisen K. K. Line, was converted into a seaplane carrier during World War II. Requisitioned by the IJN in 1941, the ship served in the Pacific Campaign and was heavily damaged in an attack in 1945. After being raised and repaired, the Kiyokawa Maru was put into civilian passenger service before being sold to Taiwan and eventually scrapped in 1969.]
