1/24 When They Cry 3 VERTEX JZX100 CHASER LATE MODEL — a 1/24 scale Toyota itasha model kit from Aoshima, featuring graphics from the popular "Umineko No Naki Koro Ni" anime.
"Itasha" literally means "pain car" in Japanese, suggesting that these cars, garishly decorated with colorful anime character graphics, are embarrassingly painful to look at — or ride in. Another take on the name is that it riffs on the similar-sounding Japanese nickname for Italian cars.
Aside from the decals, this is Aoshima's standard curbside (no engine detail) kit of the Toyota Vertex JZX100 Chaser. The decals for the character graphics are particularly well done, with image fidelity not often seen in automotive kits.
