This remarkable aircraft took to the skies for its maiden flight in May 1966, with deployment commencing in December of the same year. By December 1972, a total of 522 units had been produced. The F-4J also played a significant role in the Vietnam War starting in 1968, where it contributed to the creation of numerous "MiG Killers." This model kit includes decals for two distinguished fighter squadrons: the VF-114 (114th Fighter Squadron) stationed on the aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk, and the VF-21 (21st Fighter Squadron) "Freelancers."
