Description
PG Unleashed 1/60 RX-78-2 Gundam from "Mobile Suit Gundam" — the next-generation 1/60 PG of the original Gundam, built around the Gunpla Evolution Link System with phased construction and an LED beam saber.
The Gunpla Evolution Link System uses a step-by-step build to simulate constructing a real MS, condensing the latest Gunpla technology into each phase: assembly, articulation, structure, exterior, and presentation. One of the largest insert frames ever, the leg frame alone is around 180 mm long, and the full skeletal frame is built up earlier in the process than any prior PG. Over 90 articulation axes are set across the body, including a 40-axis core block torso. The multi-layered truss frame uses metallic molding colors and plated parts to express four metallic finishes, and three secondary processes (silver plating, matte plating, chrome plating) combine with metal accents and newly developed etched stickers for high material variety. Hatches across the body open in the most extensive PG layout to date. A new RGB dual-bulb LED unit handles the powered scene; its compact size and optimised light-conduction design allow color shifts while preserving articulation. The 1/60 beam saber houses its own micro-LED, with carefully blended molding plastics that produce a vivid gradient as if the beam were emitted from the base.
