Description
Introducing the Aoshima Waterline Kit of the IJN Light Cruiser Oyodo, depicting her as she appeared in 1944. Completed on February 28, 1943, this historical warship served in support actions in Truk, Rabaul, Palau, and Singapore. [She also served as the flagship in the Battle of Leyte Gulf, taking over for the stricken carrier Zuikaku.] Unfortunately, the Oyodo was later attacked and sunk by Allied aircraft in July 1945 while awaiting repairs at Kure, Japan.
