It was a prototype for the RX-93 ν Gundam, and many of its parts are shared with it.

What it does in the story

The Federation commits it to Operation Phoenix Hunt, the attempt to recover the runaway RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex. Wearing the colony-use B-Packs it fights the MSN-06S-2 Sinanju Stein at the Metis colony, and with the C-Packs fitted it faces the NZ-999 II Neo Zeong at the Helium-3 storage base.

What makes it different

Much of the frame is left uncovered.
The suit was built to gather data rather than to fight, so large areas never received armour and the inner frame stays visible. Its only fixed weapon in base form is a pair of 60 mm vulcan guns in the head; everything heavier comes from armament sets supplied by Luio & Co.

The B-Packs carry wire-guided assault units.
A backpack holds two remote units on cables, which Jona calls Incoms. They fire beam shots from their centres and can ram, and once the NT-D takes over the cables can be cut so they work wirelessly. Each also carries a Psycho Jammer meant to trap the Phenex inside an octahedral field.

The C-Packs are Psycho-Frame bolted on as armour.
No such configuration was ever planned. Luio & Co. gathered the Psycho-Frame on its own and the conversion was done in a hurry, which is why the result is nicknamed the Psycho Package. Joint parts for the C-Packs backpack allow both packs to be equipped, and the box carries new artwork by Hajime Katoki.

Key Features

Premium Bandai (P-Bandai) web exclusive — not sold through general retail

Newly sculpted B-Packs backpack with articulated shafts

Wired remote attack terminals with cable pull-out/rewind and no-swap deployment

Linkable small shields; waist beam saber rack

Clear psycho-frame runner; C-Packs backpack joint parts

Action Base, weapon display base, new water-slide decals; Hajime Katoki package art

What's Included

Narrative Gundam with B-Packs set

Psycho-frame runner (clear)

Joint parts for C-Packs backpack

Action Base

Weapon display base

Water-slide decals

HG 1/144 The Gundam Base Limited Narrative Gundam B-Packs (The Gundam Base limited edition) is a High Grade plastic model kit by Bandai from "Mobile Suit Gundam NT (Narrative)", originally released December 2019.

The official Bandai assembly instruction manual for this kit is available to read and download on this page.

Key Features

High Grade line by Bandai

Scale: 1/144

Series: Mobile Suit Gundam NT (Narrative)

Official instruction manual (PDF) available on P-Rex Hobby

What's Included

HG 1/144 The Gundam Base Limited Narrative Gundam B-Packs plastic model kit

Instruction manual

HG 1/144 The Gundam Base Limited Narrative Gundam C-Packs [Titanium Finish] (The Gundam Base limited edition) is a High Grade plastic model kit by Bandai from "Mobile Suit Gundam NT (Narrative)", originally released November 2019.

The official Bandai assembly instruction manual for this kit is available to read and download on this page.

Key Features

High Grade line by Bandai

Scale: 1/144

Series: Mobile Suit Gundam NT (Narrative)

Official instruction manual (PDF) available on P-Rex Hobby

What's Included

HG 1/144 The Gundam Base Limited Narrative Gundam C-Packs [Titanium Finish] plastic model kit

Instruction manual
